PARIS, Aug 4 (Reuters) – Unions have filed a strike notice for all easyJet France (EZJ.L), opens new tab cabin crew over “deteriorating” work ‌conditions, they said in a statement on Tuesday.

  • The strike notice is for August 7 to September 2, meaning a strike can happen at any time within that period, but the union must give 48 hours’ notice for key dates for action.
  • The unions said they remained open to negotiating and even lifting the strike notice, pending a management response.
  • They said a previous labour dispute notification had been suspended due to wildfires in the Gironde region.
  • “For nearly a year, the unions have been warning easyJet management about the ‌continuous deterioration of cabin crew working conditions: chronic schedule instability, last-minute changes, imposed trip patterns, particularly burdensome rotations, and a total lack of protective measures,” the unions said.
  • A spokesperson for easyJet said the company was disappointed by the plans for industrial action “despite our offer of adjustments to tackle their concerns. Given we have planned negotiations in September, we call on the unions to call off this counterproductive action at this important time of the year for our customers”.
